Saturday January 2, 2010 Join us for services followed by a potluck, dairy/vegetarian Shabbat lunch. There will also be a children’s service at 11:30 a.m. Services at Havurat Shalom are egalitarian, lay-led and usually involve a lot of singing. The potluck is truly pot luck - no arranging of the dishes in advance. The meal is a good time to meet people and we welcome newcomers. I know it's seriously short notice, but the Steve Katsos Show, a talk/variety show taped in Arlington, MA and broadcast throughout New England (including Somerville Community Access Television), is looking for a musical act to play on Tuesday night, 12/29. We had a musical act cancel on us last minute, so if you could perform for us, please respond to this message and I will provide more details. The only requirement is that the act has an album to promote (CD, iTunes, CD Baby, etc.), or has shows in the area. Check out clips here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSteveKatsosShowAppreciate any assistance here. Thanks, JM

1 room in a 2 bed apt in a quiet neighborhood, close to a Brazilian bakery, Dunkin Donuts, a CVS, a Chinese place famous for their dumplings, a good Italian restaurant, and inexpensive gas. 5-10 min bike ride and, 20 -25 min walk to DS, on 2 bus lines, close to I-93, with on street parking. Huge, well-maintained kitchen (very sweet and geeky roommate likes to cook), *very* clean. Comment if you are interested, and I will pass it on to the landlady--and feel free and encouraged to signal boost/spread the word. Rent is $500, $650 if you want to stay past April.
Edit: this sublet can be longer than January and February, and it could also be shorter than that as well.
